Graduating in 2008 from LaTrobe University, Kathy has been at Box Hill Physio for over 7 years and is our resident Dance physio specialist.
Having been both a former student and teacher at one of Melbourne’s high profile Ballet schools (which included Ballet, Jazz and Contemporary), Kathy has been able to integrate her knowledge and experience in this field to provide pre-pointe assessments and tailored exercises for all dances.
Further to this, she has an interest in all Sports & Spinal or Musculoskeletal injuries especially involving adolescents and children. Kathy is also keenly involved with pre and post joint replacement surgery/rehabilitation management like knee & hip replacements.
Kathy also works at one of Melbourne’s major hospitals working as a physio in post orthopaedic surgical management. She is fluent in Cantonese & Mandarin, with English being her first language.
Away from the clinic, Kathy does volunteer physio work with the Children’s First Foundation who sponsor children from developing countries to have life changing surgery in Australaia. She is also involved in local dance community events and enjoys a round of golf on the weekend.
